Who can submit a request
A business customer, authorised business administrator, website visitor, or person who called or messaged a business using TarangNow may request deletion. No TarangNow account is required to use this page or email us.
How to request deletion
- Email support@tarangnow.com with the subject Data Deletion Request – TarangNow.
- State whether you are an individual/end user, a business customer or an authorised administrator.
- Provide the minimum information needed to locate the data: your name, phone number in international format, email address if relevant, the business you contacted, and approximate interaction dates.
- For a business request, include the business name and, if available, the WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone-number ID or TarangNow account email.
- Do not send passwords, access tokens, full message histories or other unnecessary sensitive information by email.
What happens next
TarangNow generally acknowledges requests within 7 days. We may ask for limited additional information to verify identity, authority and the relevant business relationship. We generally complete a verified request within 30 days and send a confirmation or explain any lawful reason that requires limited information to be retained.
When TarangNow processes information for a business, that business controls the data. We may send the request to the business for verification or approval and will assist it in completing the deletion. Individuals may also contact the relevant business directly, but they can still submit a request to TarangNow using this page.
Information covered
A verified request may cover, where applicable:
- customer name, phone number, email and other contact information;
- WhatsApp messages, attachments, message identifiers and delivery or read status;
- WhatsApp Business Account and connected phone-number information;
- call metadata, recordings and related workflow information;
- AI conversation prompts, responses, transcripts, summaries and actions;
- TarangNow account, support and integration information; and
- website enquiry data and associated campaign identifiers.
Information that may be retained
TarangNow may retain limited information when required for fraud prevention, security, billing, tax, legal claims or another legal obligation. De-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably identify a person may also be retained. Deleted information may remain in protected backups for up to 30 additional days before being overwritten.
Meta and WhatsApp requests
If the request relates to a Meta or WhatsApp integration, include any relevant business/account identifier available to you, but do not send credentials or access tokens. TarangNow will delete the information it controls or processes and coordinate with the business customer or relevant provider where necessary. Deleting TarangNow data does not automatically delete information independently held by Meta, WhatsApp, the business customer or another provider under its own terms.
